World Cup Month (Week 9-11)
Being able to watch the World Cup and and be part of the Aussie cheering section while living in the country? Not a bad start to month three here. While Australia’s run in the tournament may have been short-lived, it was amazing to see all of the support that this country gives to its players. Something about Aussie fans and getting rowdy during games..lets just say it definitely is entertaining haha

Fun Fact: If you haven’t learned this already about me, I’ll do anything for a good burger. In fact, its 100% the easiest way to win me over…no its fine, don’t everyone jump at once.
Back to the game, with that tie we are still currently sitting in the 4th/5th spot in the table. Top four qualify for playoffs so as long as we don’t drop too many points, we have a good chance of securing a spot. And besides, now I know that man of the match gets free vouchers to the best burger place in town..as if I didn’t need any extra motivation..BELIEVE ME Nerang we will be just fine👌

Message I was trying to send him: I’d appreciate if you never karate kick my quad muscle with metal studs in a soccer game ever again.
Lets just say the next 75 minutes were a bit rough for him and I think he got the message by the end of the game.
Another thing I’ve realized? Australians hate the cold. Anywhere under 70 degrees? Yeah you better believe they are wearing a sweatshirt. Sorry “jumper”. Still don’t understand their language…Oh they also hate the rain. Any sign of rain and there is a 100% chance there will be no sign of them. Now combine the cold and the rain? Haha lets just say I don’t think an Aussie would last a day in Chicago...I'm not making fun of them though because lets be honest, they did it right..Why on earth would you choose to live in a "moody" and unpredictable city that can't decide if it wants to rain, shine, or snow in the middle of April? Come on Mom and Dad I figured you guys could at least pick a decent place for me to live in: Like I was thinking more of a beach side view in a country that doesn't get below 50 degrees where the sun is always shining, there are waves to surf, and the best quality soccer fields are around. I mean how much am I really asking for??
And to top off the life update, I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite videos from the last week. Quick back story: One of the students that I tutor throughout the week lives up in one of the higher parts of the Gold Coast in a suburb called Worongary. His house overlooks the entire city and most of Queensland. His family owns 100+ acres of land, including an entire farm that houses chickens, ducks, goats, and MASSIVE cows. Take a look at a fun video of me attempting to feed the dinosaur-related animal.
Definitely missing everyone back home, but loving every second I get to live my dream. Looking forward to what comes next!
Verse of the Week: "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased"
-Hebrews 13:16
