Surfers Paradise (Week 5)

As the ball was kicked and started to soar towards the middle of the box, it became a scramble to see which team would make contact with it first. Out of no where, I found myself being thrown into the flight pattern of the ball just in time to make contact with it and send it bouncing towards the rest of the mass of the players. After about two bounces and pushing and shoving, the ball hit off an opposing defender and fell to the feet of one our own forwards who managed to sneak it into the back of the net. If we’re being completely honest, I have absolutely no idea who scored or how we scored..for as SOON as the ball hit me, I became once again swallowed into the mob of 20 players trying to find the ball. As I started to regain balance, the cheering began and I was once again thrown into a frenzy of our teams' players..this time I was okay with though as I figured based off the excitement and people jumping on me that the ball had made it into the back of the net.
*Main Idea: Never underestimate how little time you need to find a way to score the goal that can change the result of your game. And did this game teach me any lessons?
Absolutely.
Always, and I mean always, throw yourself into the mob.
Excited for next week as we take on #1 Gold Coast Knights and continue our fight to be on top of the league.

Yes, believe me I know it wasn't easy. In fact, I'm sure my parents weren't too happy with the couple hundred dollars of parking tickets that were brought up to them when I graduated in December..oh well.
But in all honestly, I'm so thankful for all of the people I met, the memories that were made, and the endless friendships that were created. I am proud to always call myself a Dawg. Here are a few of my favorite pictures over the four years...Feel free to comment about your favorite one. Enjoy!!
Keeping this weeks post a bit shorter than usual, but looking forward to many new adventures in the next week! Oh and not to mention I will be traveling to the Great Barrier Reef as well..you can expect some pretty interesting stories for sure.
Verse of the Week: If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. -1 Peter 4:14
